Warsaw University of Technology is a public university with traditions in education dating back to the 19th century. It is the best technical university in Poland, where students receive excellent technical education and become valued specialists in the labor market.

WUT offers programs at B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels in almost every field of technology – ranging from civil engineering, architecture and environmental engineering, through electrical engineering, electronics and IT, to photonics, materials, mechanics and biotechnology. Additionally, it provides education complementary to technical studies in the fields of economics, social sciences, management and administration. For the purpose of teaching and research,  WUT owns 38 buildings located on two campuses in Warsaw city center and one campus in Płock, 320 laboratories, sports centers and dormitories.

At the university, special emphasis is placed on participation in international exchange programs, in order to open the doors to global labor markets for its students and graduates. WUT offers a broad range of international and European exchange programs for the students, teaching staff and researchers. It participates actively in various European educational programs: Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, ATHENS and many others, as well as holds over 30 active bilateral agreements focused on student exchange.

Each year around 600 international students from all around the world starts their regular full-time studies at WUT. Another 300 international students come to WUT each year as exchange students, while the same number of Polish students are sent as exchange students to partner universities abroad. International students at WUT represent approximately 70 different nationalities.  WUT strives to strengthen international relations and stimulate understanding, tolerance and respect for different ideas and cultures.


ESN is an integral part of the exchange projects. The section ESN PW is present at the university from 2007. Despite their brief history, the section managed to achieve the name of the best ESN section in Poland twice. Their goal is to help international students to assimilate in a new environment and show them Polish culture by means of organizing various events. Currently, the section has more than 30 active members and is growing day by day.
